Tampa friend of AndyMan, Lynne, was surprised that my old school (and my oldest's school), Sewanee, has a football team. Yes, they do. In fact, Sewanee was a football powerhouse in 1899, and was actually a charter member of the S.E.C. (they left in 1944, after years of fruitless play). 
But before that, there was 1899. To quote the Wikipedia article:"The 1899 Iron Men team's most notable accomplishment was a six-day period from November 9 to 14 which is arguably the greatest road trip in college football history. Manager Luke Lea put together an improbable schedule of playing five big name opponents in six days, all on the road. Sewanee played and shut out them all while travelling by train for 2500 miles. This feat, barring fundamental changes in modern-day football, can never be equaled".
Sewanee beat Texas, Texas A&M, Tulane, LSU and Ole Miss in five days on the road. For the season, Sewanee went 12-0-0, and outscored their opponents 322 to 10. The only team to score on them was Auburn, then coached by John Heisman, after whom the Heisman Trophy, awarded to the best player each year in college football, is named.
Sewanee still plays football, but academics are more important (well, I'm not sure they were to me, but you get the idea).

Yeah Sure Sewanee has a team. But can you really call them that? I mean Auburn beat them 3-2 this year. It was tied up till Cadillac Williams went deep with Ronnie Brown on in the ninth! Oh, wait, that was Mississippi (it's a long river, can you spell it?) State, never mind.
Sure, Auburn has a football team, but do they have a wrestling team? I wrestled against your old school back when they did (I lost. Got pinned in the first period, I think).
Auburn has no rasslin team as far as I know. They were title nined in the 80's.
But they did beat Sewanee in Football. 2-1. Joe Cribbs moved to third on a Brent Fullwood double and stole home on Larry Dickerson.

Course I remember Dicky! How do you forget a guy that takes you to see StarDust the American Dream, fend off the evil Joe LaDuc? And they used to be tag-team partners. Then you go and throw garbage at a bum. Yeah, I remember Dicky.
