Well? What'd you think?

Just what I thought, the Repubs are raving about their Sarah. Of course, they fail to say that for the last week her advisors have been filling her empty head with information and praying to their god that she doesn't screw up.

Joe did well I think. He didn't run off at the mouth...too much...and he wasn't condescending.

When he got choked up about his wife and children, Sarah at first started back with her Smile on her face again talking like she was at the PTA, but then suddenly I noticed she stopped, from one word to the next. I think someone may have made a face at her or gave her a signal to tone it down a bit. She's a little too small town for me. Nothing against small towns, I came from one myself...and love them...but it's time she broke away from that way of speaking.

Good observations, Tam. I thought Joe did exactly what he should have done, which was assume that the Presidential race was the real race, and to point everything toward Obama and McCain. He didn't look like a bully, and, amazingly, he looked more human, to me, than Palin did.

Palin did exactly what she was supposed to do, too. She acquitted herself very well. She was certainly confident; though her refusal to answer some questions made me wonder if her solid answers were completely memorization cards rather than any in-depth knowledge of the topics. I think her colloquialism are supposed to make us think she's a distaff Ronald Reagan. Her numerous references to Reagan made it clear that she, and her handlers, very much want us to forget about the last eight years and look back 22 years or so to Reagan. It seemed interesting to me that she criticized Biden for "looking backward" when she wanted us to look back even farther to Reagan. Sounds like a request for a "do-over" from the last eight years.

I thought Biden did well, assuming the mantle of the person who has actually been to Washington, DC on occasion ... her referred to personal experiences and demonstrated his knowledge ... Palin spit out factoids and sound bites she learned at debate camp, but like one of those kids at the big spelling bee, she didn't really know what the big words meant.

I found it particularly interesting that Biden referred to folks he'd known to for years in the senate by their first name, even "John."

Meanwhile, small-town hockey mom was apparently awestruck by her grampa, I mean "Sen. McCain."

She never referred to him by his first name. I don't think she's allowed to.

Well, I went to the USF game and I'm not going to say the game was bad, but I only wish I'd have watched the dedates!

Ewww, Chase. We've all thought it, but you didn't have to put it out there.

I was busy watching the drunks around me at the UFS game. Probably more fun and less nauseating.

My parents were at the USF game and I think they had a much better time.

But maybe not, since we lost.

Wink. Wink. You betcha.

John McCain has a casting couch, Chase? Yeah, Star's right: Ewww.

Kate, Andy, it's pretty obvious why South Florida lost: The Bull was at the debate.
