I posted on one of my favorite 15 albums recently. I can't find the picture I needed for the post I was gonna do, so I'll just post another of the fifteen. Kinda my version of teachers showing a movie when they just can't get it together or they need a break. My first album was Monkees Headquarters. You remember The Monkees, right? Mid-1960's rock-band comedy? Davey Jones, Micky Dolenz, Mike Nesmith, and Peter Tork? No? Well, "Headquarters" wasn't their best album, but it was my first album, so it made my list of fifteen most memorable albums. The video below is not from that album, but was one of my favorite Monkees' songs.

Ha! A dear friend of mine is obsessed with the Monkees and has even managed to strike up a friendship of sorts with Peter Tork, who's evidently always been her favorite since childhood.
Apparently, Dolenz was Nesmith's bitch.
Mickie and Mike were my favorites. Who knew that Mike's beanie stocking cap meant he was dominant? (I mean, who besides, apparently, Mickey?).
For people who know so much about the Monkees, you should know that its Micky, not MickEy or MickIE!?*!
Well, Anon, I corrected it in the post, anyway. For what it's worth, people missspell my last name all the time. So, what's your favorite Monkees' song?
Dolenz was my favorite. Such a cute face.
And Pleasant Valley Sunday was my favorite. Of course.
Of course. It is also a cool song.
where's my unicycle?
Standard issue, if you're a Monkee, John; the rest of us have to buy 'em.
Last Train to Clakesville was the ispiration for Ray Wilie Hubbard's cricitally acclaimed "Last Train to Amsterdam."
I only know RWH as the writer of "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother"...
Were The Monkeys ever special guests on Scooby-Doo? I seem to recall that they were. You know you've made it big when you make a guest appearance on Scooby-Doo.
I think they were, but I can't find it on youTube. But here's Davy Jones on the Brady Bunch.
i love last train to clarksville...great calll!!!
no longer available...:(
Thanks, RC.
SuperDave, RWH has had a very successful career as a songwriter. And he claims to HATE Up against the Wall. See he and buddies were being bullied by the Rednecks. So he isn't a fan of them. That said, he did mention he enjoys the royalty checks from UPATW.
Sorry, John. I hate when they do that.
I still like UATWRM, Ange.
