A Bon Mot is a "good word", a clever remark. At least I think it is; I never took French, so I can't be sure. Anyway, I enjoyed my buddy Russ's "unwelcome" mat. A witicism on a welcome mat. A Welcome Mot? Reminded me of a Tom Petty song I used to enjoy.
I Still do.

Cute. I like sarcasm, although apparently not everyone does, as I found out last week. But that's a story for another time.
I'm not a big Petty fan, but I do like this one, Stop Draggin My Heart Around ('cause its with Stevie) and Mary Jane's Last Dance. Oh, and Refuge. Well, now that I'm looking at a list of his songs, I guess I DO like Petty :)
Yeah, he's like that. Same thing, for me, with Stone Temple Pilots: I don't think I like 'em until I hear the songs. Maybe we like the music, but not the artists, Star.
kittehs and smoking... I like it.
Happy to oblige, John.
I still like Tom Petty's "Won't Back Down" - it was mine before it was Hillary's and she will NOT ruin it for me.
For about fifteen years I had a welcome mat that said "Scram." I think it's time for a comeback.
Doesn't shock me a bit, Kate. And you deserve "I won't back down".
