Walk This Way.

At The Manor, dogs Bo and Brady had their run of a big, fenced backyard, but laying around is what they did at the Manor most of the time, and I didn't pay a lot of attention to them. Since their move to Otis Road, their lot has improved. They're in a kennel most of the time now, but they get a walk every afternoon. Bo, the black Belgian Shepard, especially looks forward to his walks. By carefully marking just about every mailbox and storm drain he sees, Bo has managed in a very short time to accumulate quite a mass of land. Brady is not so concerned with all that. She had her run of the wild life, and lost a leg four or five years ago when she was hit by a car. She likes the company she gets on her walks, and leaves world domination to Bo.
Spring was a little late this year (Summerville's Azalea Festival had to make do a couple of weekends ago sans the azaleas, and, if you watched the Masters golf tournament, you maybe noticed that the camera crew tried to satisfy us with Wisteria instead of the azaleas Augusta normally has this time of year), but it's here now, and the flowers are as pretty as ever.
Man, what a beautiful day!

Sounds like Brady is no longer a three-legged yard dog. Guess you'll have to find a red-headed stepchild to beat! (don't beat your fish, it dies!)

...and you can't beat that joke!

For a split second there, I thought I was seeing Jimmy----being black and all, BUT lacking the all important gray top-knot! We were looking at old pics this wk/end and Sarah found one of him....this sparked the telling of some of the "Jimmy Stories" :) fdb

Thanks, Col. Bo and Brady don't get the star treatment your "babies" get, I know, but they're not complaining (well, not much, anyway).

Frandy, Bo is a lot bigger than Jimmie, but Jimmie would never've admitted it! Many's the time Leo would call Jimmie by his real name: Damn Dog! Did we tell you about the time we took Jimmie to School? The haunted mailbox? I'm sure we did, but if not, remind me.

Dave---yes, I know about the mailbox, the carport roof, going through screens, climbing and walking atop chainlink fences, etc... (we had a whole roll of screen in our garage, as we needed it frequently!) My favorite.... Jimmie, Leo, Ralph and the pineapple! fdb

Ah, Jimmy, the Father of Town N Country (just ask the lady down the street with her "Pure-bred" poodle!)

Frandy, you'd think Jimmie woulda been considerate enough to jump back through the hole that he came in through. 'Course, you'd be wrong!

Yeah, Ange, as they later learned: purebred is, as purebred does. Stud fees all to end up with puppies that looked a lot like Jimmie.

Do you and/or Andy have a copy of your Mom's "Jimmie Stories"?

I don't, Frandy. Maybe Andy does.
