Turtle.

I saw this little sucker catching some rays outside the Manor the other day. Neighbor Zach holds Yertle the Turtle in his hands there. I'm hoping that there'll be fauna on Otis Road as well.

We have two that spend the winter in our woodpile. (Turtles, not neighbors!) fdb

There's a neighbor in the woodpile? Nah, Frandy, it'll never catch on.

You got birds, you got frogs, you've even got the occasional stray cat, but turtles? Now that's where the action is!

Yes, that is where the action is. The last 2 years there has been a giant (to me anyway) snapping turtle. That turtle usually can be seen once a year sunning in the middle of the back yard. Oh and did I mention the Canadian Geese?

FYI--a small factoid for both of you---I have seen a palm-sized snapping turtle snap a stick in two with NO effort---the stick being about 3/4in.in diamiter. Unfortunately they also have loooong necks. fdb

I remember the geese. Okay, okay, you got the fauna!

I got a healthy respect for snapping turtles, Frandy. I've been to a creek or two back in the day (okay, it was the drainage ditch behind the house, but it had fauna too).

Yeah, Star and Col, even reptiles are cute when they're little.

I remember the rooster. I remember; Andy remembers; Russ probably remembers, too.
