Looky here! South Carolina is among the Happiest States in the Country. The article in today's Charleston "Post and Courier" has us at number six, the Yahoo News article has us at number eight. Either way, we're in the top ten. We're also in the top ten Fattest States, and Dumbest States (as measured by S.A.T. test results). Hmmm. Not sure what to make of that. Guess I'll have a cheeseburger and not think about it.

I hate to ruin your cheeseburger Dave, but since I work in the Public Health area all I can think of is, "Fat, Dumb, and Happy."

Indiana is #47, so I guess my SAD and subsequent move out of the Midwest was justified all those years ago. But surprisingly, Cali is #46...?
Diane, as is frequently the case, we are of one mind ('cept I DO like cheeseburgers very much!).
That one shocked me, too, Star. I figured that weather had a lot to do with it, but Cali's weather had something to do with it.
...er, I mean, Cali's weather in many parts of that vast state is pretty good. One of the commentators noted traffic congestion and high cost of living must be the culprits.
