My brother, the Amazing AndyMan, is running again. About an hour ago, at seven this Morning (six Central Time), Andy started working the foothills and minor mountains of Northern Alabama in the Pinhoti 100 Endurance Run. Andy's run plenty over the last twenty or so years: scads of five K's and 10 K's, then scads of triathlons, ninety or so Marathons, and dozens of ultra-Marathons, including more than twenty 100 mile races. Still, 100 miles is a very long way to run, even for the Amazing AndyMan. His race number is 630, and you can track him over the next twenty-four hours or so at
Pinhoti
Run, AndyMan, run!

The most I can manage is a couple of laps around the Mall! It makes me tired just reading about a 100 mile run. All of those runs---quite an accomplishment...Kudos to Andy!! fdb
And he finished at about 8 this (Sunday) morning, too!
And I'm finished! Tired? Like that little bike that fell over! Like campaign rhetoric by the 2nd Wednesday of November! Just beat, like an egg! Just Whipped, like Cream! Just out of Gas like a Chevy Impala on Sligh Road over by Leto High School!
But #14 is in the books like ...
It is Tuesday---I am assuming that the race is over.............I know Andy did well. fdb
That was a sad day for the Impala, which, apparently, was not worth as much as the inspection sticker that some punk busted out my windshield to steal.
