This from the Ken Burger's column in yesterday's Charleston "Post and Courier": A turtle is mugged by two slugs. Asked for a description of his assailants, the turtle slug says, "I dunno. It all happened so fast".

Those slugs are going to have to pick it up if there is to be any muggings down this way. I timed a turtle today that crossed my driveway in two min. flat! (I know, I know, timing a turtle is lame!---pitiful, in fact!) :) fdb
Frandy, why was the turtle flat? could a round turtle go faster (well, it could down hill for sure :)
Very slow turtles always end up flat (in traffic, anyway).
