My Three Sons

My oldest son, Davis, stopped by the Manor last night, in route from college to a tour of Charleston and to the Beaufort home of his momma. It's always a treat to have my three sons together, if only briefly.

The woman in the picture is Davis' girlfriend, Elizabeth "G-Bear" Gibert. She reminds me of someone. Hmmm. Just took this random photo of G-Bear reading the Parade section of the Charleston Post and Courier.

It'll come to me.

Yeah, even as a dude I'll take Molly over some of the gyms I've been compared to (some of them I've even inadvertantly compared me to, ouch!)

Very Young- Opie Tayor
Young- Alfred E. Newman
HS- Parker Stevenson (should have capitalized here, I didn't know I'd peak in 11th grade!)
30's- Ed O'Neil
40's- W (shoot, maybe Alfred E. wasn't so bad!)

W? He's still my homeboy--at least until McCain wins!!!!

don't hate me for being a proud Republican.

Oh, Dr. M, I wouldn't hate anyone for being a proud Republican ... I'd just wonder what they're proud of ... "ism's, in my opinion, are bad."

Really? The glasses, the eyebrowns, the face shape? She doesn't have the 'do, it's true (plus I think G-Bear's prettier).

Andy, you did look like all those people! I got the Opie comparison, too. Then law school: William Hurt. At various times, Nick Nolte (really not too good these days), and one dude thought I looked like Jon Gruden. Now? Dave Mathews, only fatter.

Mags, I thought Molly looked pretty (in Pink). Hadn't seen her in awhile, though.

Chase be right about Isms. Isms do be bad. One size does not always fit all.

Those are some good looking kids! And I'd be proud if my boys came home with a Tiny Fey-like character. Just not at the same time. (Take turn, boys!)

I was periodically compared to Lucy from Charlie Brown (more personality than anything) and Casper. Then, for like five minutes in the late 90s, Minnie Driver.

Now. I don't know who I look like.

Elizabeth Zhebear as the frogs would say shows her resemblence to T. (I know you don't much like that name) Fay in the eyebrows. I'm thinking the girls get them waxed at the same salon in Tennessee. Okay well maybe not, but their stylists do use the same template.

Lucky for you and the boy crew to commune. Life is good on days like these.

Thanks for the kind words about the boys, Kate. G-Bear's a sweetie, too. Brought me toffee (which I certainly didn't need, but, yum). And, yeah, I see Minnie Driver. Always thought she was cool, even if her name was redolent of a Disney chauffer.

Amy, why would someone get their eyebrows done in a saloon (and you missspelled it).

No, Mags, just a play on words. Which Molly did you want? (Besides Flogging Molly, I mean).
