Baltimore Raven's kicker Billy Cundiff's miss of what would have been a game-tying field-goal in the A.F.C. championship game is almost a week-old now. The miss is not fresh news, anymore, but as a long-standing Florida State Seminoles fan, it touches a nerve. The following videos are about kicks. They range from Paul Revere and the Raiders warning against chasing kicks in the 1960's, to the thoroughly raunchy video by Peaches and Iggy Pop. None of them is so painful as the last video, though. Any FSU fan hates the call "wide right!" That is probably why we fell all over each other in the stands when the two recievers on the opposing team stepped forward and signaled "good field goal" on one of Janakowski's (sp?) kick-offs!
That's gotta be you, Frandy. The Nole's lost 2 or maybe 3 national championships because makeable fieldgoals were missed. Ah, well. FSU's had its kicker problems, but Janakowski not one of 'em. If any kicker's got a shot at the Hall of Fame, it Sebastian J.
